Machine operator/ Manuel Lathe.

Onsite - Harlow

Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30 & Friday finish at 15:30!

Salary £32,500- £37,000 (flexible)

Our client, a well-established organisation with over 100 years of excellence, is expanding their Machine Shop and seeking a dedicated individual to join their talented team. What You'll Do:
  1. Set up, programme, and operate CNC machines to produce components that meet strict specifications.
  2. Collaborate with their engineering team to optimise manufacturing processes.
  3. Maintain meticulous records of production, ensuring any issues are communicated effectively to management.
  4. Work with both CNC and manual lathes, producing high-quality components within deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Setting, operating, and programming CNC mills and lathes.
  2. Producing components to strict tolerances while maintaining high standards of quality.
  3. Performing routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults promptly.
  5. Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications with ease.
What We're Looking For:
  1. Proven experience as a CNC Machinist.
  2. Expertise in operating manual lathes.
  3. Familiarity with G-code and programming languages (preferred but not essential).
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  5. Strong familiarity with metalworking equipment and tools.
  6. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
