Machine Operator

Location: York, SC
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
(2) Work Schedules Available:

  • 3rd shift; 12-hour shifts - 6:30pm-6:30am - 2/2/3 Schedule - Every other weekend off
  • 1st shift; 12-hour shifts - 6:30am-6:30pm - 2/2/3 Schedule - Every other weekend off

Pay: Starting at $18.80/hour

We are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Machine Operator!

Job Summary: As a Machine Operator, you will perform tasks associated with advanced machine operation, including setup and operation of trim presses, drilling and tapping, port and stem, vibratory systems, and parts washing. You will be cross-trained and fluent in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of various equipment to produce quality parts. You will independently perform these tasks with minimal input from the machine shop supervisor and train basic machine operators through on-the-job training.

Machine Operator Job Duties:

  • Perform any machining operations as assigned by the team lead or production supervisor.
  • Setup and operate trim presses, various port and stem machines, vibratory machines, and drill and tap fixturing.
  • Work in a quality-conscious and safe manner.
  • Perform work at process speed and/or standard rates.
  • Advise supervisor of any problems with tools, equipment, fixtures, materials, or setup.
  • Maintain daily product and scrap records.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the machine shop or production supervisor.

Machine Operator Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, write, and count.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work sitting or standing for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Follow all plant and departmental safety rules and regulations.
  • 2-3 years’ work experience in a related field is a plus.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and kneel for long periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The working environment and noise levels are normally moderate; however, some ear and eye protection may be required. Must be able to work alone for extended periods of time.
