Machine Operator

Our client based in Oldbury is looking to recruit a Machine Operator to join their established team.

The role will involve working 7am until 3:30pm Monday to Thursday, and 7am until 2:30pm on a Friday.

Your duties will include:

• Operating machinery to cut and bend various lengths of metals.
• Manual handling of cut and uncut metals, with individual lengths weighing up to 20kg.
• Working in a team to maximize productivity.
• Assisting in other areas of the factory as required.
• Adhering to health and safety procedures.

Experience required:

• Must have worked in a busy warehouse or factory environment previously.
• Must have experience working safely and productively.
• Must have a good understanding of Maths.
• Must have a practical understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Previous experience in metalworks is desirable.

To be successful in the role, you will be a motivated, hardworking individual, punctual, and reliable. You should be confident and outgoing, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

The role is physically demanding and requires the successful candidate to stand for the entire shift while handling, cutting, and bending lengths of metals.
