Machine Operator

My client is a leading manufacturer of vessels and pipework to the aviation industry with over 20 years of continuous growth culminating in over 16,000 global customers and an annual turnover north of 10 million pounds. They are looking to bring onboard a skilled Machine Operator to bolster their team in Morecambe. The ideal candidate will come from a CNC Operating background with experience working with a range of production machinery (Brake press, Laser Cutter etc…) and will be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings.

You will need to be based within a commutable distance of Morecambe for this role.

Machine Operator Job Overview

1. Operating CNC machines to fabricate parts according to specifications with a focus on product quality
2. Performing routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshooting issues
3. Manual handling of materials and finished products
4. Operating a range of machinery including but not limited to: Fibre Optic Laser Cutters, Press Brake, Tube Benders and Plate Rollers
5. Collaborating with team members to optimise production processes

Machine Operator Job Requirements

1. Previous experience operating CNC machinery
2. Familiar with maintaining production machinery
3. Strong understanding of a range of production processes
4. Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
5. Must maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times
6. Based within a commutable distance of Morecambe
7. Full driver's licence

Machine Operator Salary & Benefits

1. £13.00 - £15.00 per hour DOE
2. Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 (42.5 hour's week)
3. Overtime available
4. 28 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
5. Life insurance
6. Pension
