Salary: £12.50 per hour

Job type: Temp (with a view to perm for the right candidate)

Work hours: Full-time

We're working with a leading manufacturer in Huddersfield who are looking to bring on a Machine Operative to join their production team. Your role will be to operate a range of manufacturing equipment and associated machines involving plastics and textiles.

Duties:

• Operate machines following the correct operating procedures to achieve specified target output and product quality standards
• Using a counterbalance FLT with fork, boom and clamp attachments, safely move raw materials and finished goods to and from the machines
• Comply with the Company Health and Safety policy, procedure and risk assessments
• Follow the manufacturing instructions in accordance with the works orders to achieve the production plan and customer orders
• Accurate and timely completion of company paperwork
• Ensure that raw material, bought in goods and manufactured products meet quality standards
• support all aspects of production and perform additional tasks as required.

Person Specification:

• Previous experience working in a similar role (advantageous)
• FLT C/B Licence (advantageous)
• Competent, honest and punctual
• Able to demonstrate excellent communication
• Able to work as part of a team showing flexibility to assist in other duties and tasks as required
• Flexibility in working hours, including overtime to meet business needs
