Job description

Position Title: Machine Operator

Location: St.Neots (PE19)

Hours: 07:30 am- 4 pm (Mon- Thur) & 07:30 am- 01:30 pm (Fri)

Salary: 14.17- 15.88/hour

JOB PURPOSE

Manufacture PCBAs via processing machinery and equipment such as wave soldering, selective solder, cleaning, and routing machines within the pre-flow process. Adhering to the process procedures and process workflow plans while reporting to the process Supervisor.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Operating PCBA manufacturing machinery within PCBA process
  2. Providing routine maintenance on machines
  3. Provide initial "first fix" support for fixing machinery and equipment
  4. Adhering to work center capacity plans ensuring required output is met
  5. Routinely reviewing QA yield results post flow/selective solder with a view to a right first-time pass rate
  6. Liaising with engineering to improve machine efficiency
  7. Uphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork
  8. Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and Conduct

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Demonstrated experience of assembling electronic assemblies
  2. Demonstrated experience of operating wave/selective soldering machines
  3. Desirable if previously IPC-A-610 qualified
  4. Desirable if experienced with operating within a lean manufacturing environment
  5. Good comprehension of English and Maths.
