Machine Learning Engineer: LLM, NLP, GenAI

Introduction:
Mint Selection is partnered with a successful energy trading company that aims to leverage cutting-edge AI and ML techniques to optimise core areas of the business. You would build models and solutions that optimise trading, storage and shipping, data flows, portfolio risk, advanced analytics and applications that support the company operating at scale.

Description:
Working as part of an internationally distributed Data Science team, you would work closely with engineers, data scientists and commercial personnel to deliver solutions across the whole project workflow, from scoping and POC through to production and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design, development, productionisation and deployment of Machine Learning Models, Systems and Applications focused on the energy industry.
2. Support the business in its integration of LLM’s, NLP and GenAI into existing projects and workflows.
3. Engineer appropriate data pipelines and infrastructure to support existing and future projects.
4. Contribute to a collaborative and collegiate team and working environment and help build ML expertise within the business.
5. Work with cross-functional technology and non-technology teams to scope, research and build solutions impacting a variety of businesses within the company.

Qualifications:

1. Masters Degree or Higher in Mathematics, Data Science, Machine Learning or related degree (Physics, Statistics etc).
2. 3+ years using Python and ability to write clean production code.
3. Experience developing and deploying machine learning models, preferably with LLM’s, NLP or GenAI experience.
4. Extensive experience with ML frameworks including Tensorflow or PyTorch.
5. Experience deploying to cloud systems (AWS, Docker).
6. Strong ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
