Job Description:

Our client is looking for a permanent Microsoft 365 / Modern Workplace SME Advisor with previous experience leading teams of technical engineers and consultants. This opportunity is a mixture of home working with frequent visits to offices in the Hampshire and London area.

Overview of the role:

Supports the development of the practice strategy and business plan required to meet our clients strategic business goals.

Works with practice delivery leads to ensure service readiness and ongoing service optimisation, with success measured against the practice business plan.

Leads technical and consulting resources within the practice, accountable for ensuring all targets relating to quality and profitability are achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • In-life review of operational services and delivery methodologies (offerings) to identify opportunities for optimisation of managed services, project and consulting services – driving improved customer satisfaction, customer value and our clients business revenues.
  • Support RFPs and be able to define support and service requirements, resource profiles as well as provide technical solutions and governance when bidding for new opportunities.
  • Document solutions, technical diagrams, and present executive summaries to articulate a clear message to our clients' customers regarding our clients' services and propositions.

Leadership of technical resources:

  • Leads and manages all technical and consulting staff within the practice.
  • Ensures delivery of services and projects to customers is optimal and exceeds expectations.
  • Defines nature and quantity of resources required within the practice in context of sales plan.
  • Recognised internal expert of technologies within this domain and constantly evolves our clients' capabilities in line with market and industry trends and evolution.
  • Is familiar with industry standard certifications and ensures the technical teams are fully compliant.

Experience required:

  • Strong understanding of markets, opportunities, and competitors, as well as business issues and challenges.
  • Strong M365 technical and consulting background.
  • Able to lead real and virtual teams to reach one common end goal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus.
  • Collaborative working style.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to clearly articulate ideas, present findings, and convey the value of new services to stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate organisational goals into a clear roadmap for service development, aligning with future needs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and foster collaboration across different departments to ensure service development is aligned with overall goals.
  • A creative mindset to explore new ideas and develop innovative solutions that address customer needs.
  • A deep understanding of customer needs and a drive to develop services that deliver a positive user experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in End User support services, as part of the Modern Workplace vision.
  • Consultant who can produce excellent documentation, at all levels.
