Job description

Company Overview:
Our client is a leading international telecoms organisation delivering cutting-edge solutions, including telecom coverage for the London Underground. With a large global presence, the UK division maintains an SME feel, offering a dynamic and supportive work environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of technological innovation in the telecoms and transport sectors.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced M&E Technical Lead with a strong background in TFL standards to oversee the integration and design assurance of telecoms assets across the London Underground. In this role, you will represent the organisation with the end client (TFL), manage relationships with key client engineers, and ensure the seamless integration of telecoms and M&E assets. This position sits at an executive level, engaging directly with senior stakeholders and taking the lead in high-level technical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Representation: Act as the primary technical liaison with TFL, managing the relationship with their engineers and ensuring the smooth flow of communication between the client and internal teams.
  2. Design Assurance: Lead the design assurance process, ensuring all work aligns with TFL standards and meets the client's requirements.
  3. Integration Management: Oversee the integration of telecoms assets with existing TFL M&E infrastructure, ensuring compatibility and functionality across both systems.
  4. Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, providing technical leadership and updates at the executive level.
  5. Problem-Solving: Take a proactive, solution-oriented approach to address technical challenges, focusing on practical, sustainable solutions rather than roadblocks.
  6. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with all necessary standards.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience with TFL Standards: Strong understanding and experience working with TFL standards, particularly in telecoms and M&E systems.
  2. Telecoms and M&E Design Background: Extensive experience delivering telecoms and M&E projects, with a focus on integrating telecom assets into existing M&E infrastructure.
  3. Technical Leadership: Proven track record of leading and mentoring teams to deliver complex technical projects, with a focus on design assurance and integration.
  4. Senior Stakeholder Management: Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and executives, with the ability to manage client relationships and navigate organisational complexities.
  5. Pragmatic Attitude: Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset, ensuring the smooth delivery of projects and the minimisation of risks.
  6. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits:

  1. Opportunity to work on a high-profile project with significant impact on the London Underground telecoms network.
  2. Exposure to cutting-edge technology and innovation in the telecoms and transport sectors.
  3. A dynamic, flexible work environment within a large international organisation with an SME feel.
  4. Competitive salary and benefits package.
  5. Opportunities for professional development and career progression.

If you are a driven, solution-focused M&E professional with experience working with TFL standards, we would love to hear from you. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of a critical project, working with industry leaders in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
