Job Title: M&E Buyer
Location: Kent
Salary: £48K - £52K (DOE)
The Role:
- Oversee procurement processes, including purchase orders and requisition management.
- Maintain procurement trackers, call-off schedules, and material journey plans.
- Obtain material quotations and support value engineering (VE) initiatives.
- Manage supplier negotiations, securing competitive rates and agreements.
- Handle technical submissions, sample boards, and project specifications.
- Oversee stock management, PPE orders, and material reuse across projects.
- Build strong supplier relationships and ensure smooth material logistics.
- Office-based role, Monday to Friday.
The Company:
- 18+ years of experience in residential new build and refurbishment projects.
- Based in Kent, strong order book for 2025.
- Specializes in domestic fit-outs and large district heat networks.
- 30+ direct employees.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in procurement or buying within M&E or construction.
- Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of material schedules, logistics, and project planning.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
