Job Title: M&E Buyer

Location: Kent

Salary: £48K - £52K (DOE)

The Role:

1. Oversee procurement processes, including purchase orders and requisition management.
2. Maintain procurement trackers, call-off schedules, and material journey plans.
3. Obtain material quotations and support value engineering (VE) initiatives.
4. Manage supplier negotiations, securing competitive rates and agreements.
5. Handle technical submissions, sample boards, and project specifications.
6. Oversee stock management, PPE orders, and material reuse across projects.
7. Build strong supplier relationships and ensure smooth material logistics.
8. Office-based role, Monday to Friday.

The Company:

1. 18+ years of experience in residential new build and refurbishment projects.
2. Based in Kent, strong order book for 2025.
3. Specializes in domestic fit-outs and large district heat networks.
4. 30+ direct employees.

The Ideal Candidate:

1. Previous experience in procurement or buying within M&E or construction.
2. Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management.
3. Excellent organization and attention to detail.
4. Knowledge of material schedules, logistics, and project planning.
5. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
