SRM Recruitment have been retained by a reputable, European headquartered M&A Insurance Underwriter who are growing their transactional risk business in the UK. As part of a strategic growth plan they are now looking to recruit an experienced Tax Lawyer with strong M&A experience to join them as a Tax Insurance Underwriter.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with an experienced tax underwriting team you will assist handling the entire underwriting process, with specific focus on UK and Continental Europe starting with confidentiality agreements, preparing non-binding indications, drafting policies, negotiating contract terms and preparing underwriting requests.
  • Issue of policy documents
  • Establishment and development of international broker and customer relationships
  • Building relationships with law firms in different jurisdictions

Requirements:

  • You will be a 2-3 PQE UK tax lawyer with exposure to private M&A and strong drafting/review skills.
  • Your strengths include strong customer orientation, decision-making power and a high degree of persuasiveness, as well as high motivation and resilience
  • You have already been able to demonstrate your strong team skills, your high sense of responsibility and your adaptability when dealing with a wide range of technical issues
