The primary purpose of this role is to help drive the success of our UK Enterprise team by profiling and gaining new appointments with New Logo prospects. Acquisition has been defined by Colt as a key area of focus for our Enterprise Sales division and critical to the future of our organisation.

What you’ll do:

1. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for profiling, discovery, outreach and gaining appointments with New Logo prospects in the Enterprise sector.
2. Profile prospects based on Colt’s Sweet Spot.
3. Identify and understand prospects' business strategy and align how Colt can deliver solutions that drive enhanced value against specific, measurable metrics.
4. Develop and manage a pipeline of potential clients and gain their interest over the long term.
5. Use your own skills, character and initiative with the prescribed Outreach framework to gain appointments.
6. Develop and implement an effective contact strategy to ensure ‘high and wide’ engagement at all levels of the prospect.
7. Develop a pro-active outcome-based approach for your messaging and content.
8. Collaborate with colleagues across Colt to develop messaging that addresses and supports the customers’ stated outcomes.
9. Achieve/overachieve personal sales KPIs and work to the agreed business plan with your Manager.
10. Handover appointments in a professional fashion to the relevant Account Executive.

What We’re Looking For:

Must haves:

1. Experience: of business development in a similar or transferable environment.
2. Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
3. Experience in prospecting into mid-large size global companies.
4. Comfortable with modern outreach techniques such as email, social, video and calling.
5. Familiarity with MEDDICC or equivalent qualification methodology.
6. Assertive verbal and written communications skills with the ability to build strategic relationships within organisations.
7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into customer insights and leverage with customer engagement strategies.
8. Experience in collaborating and guiding cross-functional teams (e.g. Sales, Product, Marketing, Service Delivery).
9. Working knowledge of MS Office suite.

Might haves:

1. Strong consultative selling experience from another industry and the desire to move into a career in Telecoms.
