Long Term Private Capital ("LTPC") is BlackRock's direct private equity fund with a differentiated approach to traditional private equity. LTPC's strategy is to make private equity investments in market-leading companies with outstanding management teams across the technology, healthcare, business and financial services, and consumer end markets. LTPC leverages the extensive expertise of its investment team and the global resources of the BlackRock platform to source investment opportunities and to execute specific growth and value-creation initiatives within each investment.

Job Summary
BlackRock is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to join its Long Term Private Capital team as an Associate. The role, based in London, is a unique opportunity to help build a differentiated approach to private equity. The selected individual will work with an experienced team in a collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment. The role will have responsibility for new investment diligence and execution including financial modelling, analytical company analysis, market research, and the development and review of due diligence reports and investment committee materials. In addition, the candidate will actively contribute to portfolio company management.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with colleagues in all aspects of an investment, including due diligence, financial review and modelling, valuation, preparation of presentation material for investment committees, transaction execution, value creation, and monitoring.
  • Develop and run financial models to analyze investment opportunities.
  • Perform market research, including research on potential investments, industry sectors, and competitors.
  • Synthesize due diligence findings into investment memorandums and presentations.
  • Support portfolio company executives on a range of high-priority initiatives, both financial and operational.

Experience & skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, accounting, or private equity.
  • Passion for investing.
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement with a strong academic background.
  • Highly analytical and intellectually curious.
  • Ability to manage complex workloads and deliver high-impact, actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills (presentations, verbal, written).
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Self-starter and team-oriented with enthusiasm to work in an entrepreneurial, high-responsibility environment.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock's hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
