Learning and Talent Development at L.E.K.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Learning & Talent Development Senior Manager (L&D Sr. M) is the owner of L.E.K. Europe’s formal learning experiences and manages the L&D team.

Our Learning and Talent Development team support all our people to continue to learn, grow and thrive at work by creating a learning eco-system that integrates feedback, training, learning experiences and future development planning.

We offer over 100 learning experiences to 750+ Europe-based employees at all levels and roles in the firm.

This is an exciting opportunity to revolutionise the L.E.K. L&D offering by incorporating new technologies, driving continuous improvement of our existing curriculum and learning experiences, as well as developing new training programmes as we continue to evolve our offering

The Role

The L&D Sr. M works closely with senior leadership to set the direction for employee development at L.E.K. This role provides the daily opportunity to positively impact our colleagues and, in turn, our clients.

Working in collaboration with Partners, Managers, and individuals to develop and deliver a coherent learning offering that will enable our people to continue to develop their skills, be at the forefront of cutting-edge thinking in their market or specialism and be well-rounded leaders.

Development of the European Learning Programme

  • Owning and managing the full learning experience across Europe
  • Conducting training needs analysis (TNA) at all levels
  • Ensuring on-time delivery of the programmes, enabling high participation and continuous improvement
  • Developing new training experiences based on future talent and business needs
  • Conduct rigorous evaluation of the full offering to ensure excellence and drive continuous improvements
  • Define and oversee the delivery of new projects to improve learning effectiveness on an ongoing basis
  • When required, take on a hands-on approach to design and develop content that will support us in achieving our ambitious goal

Stakeholder Management

  • Managing the L&D Steering Committee
  • Development and oversight of a significant learning budget
  • Collaborate with sectors (i.e., consulting business units) and functional groups to understand industry and client needs and pivot learning and training approaches as necessary
  • Manage suppliers, including value-for-money analysis and content co-design

People Management

  • Guide L&D three team members in managing the direction of the curriculum through planning, content design teaching format, timing by level, instructional methods, etc.
  • Work with L&D team members to ideate and deliver train-the-trainer support to enable impactful learning experiences across different formats (e.g., in-person, virtual)

Essential Requirements

  • Significant experience in adult learning, instructional design and training experience, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Experience leading and developing direct reports, particularly managing a distributed team.
  • Strong commercial acumen and navigating business dynamics Ability to plan and manage multiple competing priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrable experience in developing learning and competency frameworks plus implementing a learning ecosystem
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management; able to adapt to different audiences/styles/cultures
  • Ability to present ideas to senior stakeholders using visual tools such as PowerPoint
  • Great organisational skills – able to organise a varied workload, prioritise effectively and keep stakeholders updated as appropriate
  • Ability to travel to other offices
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Fluent English (C2)
