Who we are looking for:

Logistics Team Leader to be responsible for Unitstrut and Flexicon pick, pack and dispatch. Support with inventory accuracy, warehouse housekeeping, process improvement and customer complaints.

What you’ll do:

  1. Supervise the team to promote best practice and give continuous & sustained reliability to production.
  2. Lead and set standards from which others are expected to operate, taking full accountability for the area of responsibility and its performance.
  3. Develop and implement best practices and new processes to achieve better performances throughout the business.
  4. Work towards and achieve agreed performance criteria as part of the departmental and site KPI’s and SDP’s.
  5. Monitor employees within areas to ensure lateness, absence and return to work interviews are dealt with in line with Company Policies and where necessary disciplinary action taken.
  6. Represent area and Company during internal meetings, contributing to ongoing Company development.
  7. Supervise pick, pack and dispatch.
  8. Distribute workload in line with plan adherence.
  9. Identify training needs of self and others within area.
  10. Ensure successful delivery and implementation of training activities through agreed methods, in line with operational requirements and ensure maintenance of these training records.
  11. Follow Company escalation process.
  12. Implement 5S’s and apply lean tools and techniques.
  13. Support logistic Team Leaders when they are unavailable with day-to-day activities.
  14. Lead stand downs.
  15. Report to Logistics Supervisor on Performance.
  16. Implement new processes to reduce customer complaints.
  17. Support employee wellbeing.
  18. Adhere to and promote Company core values and ensure team is working towards the Company mission.
  19. Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety rules and contribute to hazard spotting and risk assessment in the area.

Hours of work will be 39 hours working Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm.

Salary to be dependent on experience.
