We are recruiting for an experienced Logistics Planner to join a well-known decorative homeware company in Christchurch.This well-known business supplies not only the general public but major retail chains such as Dunelm, Laura Ashley, and John Lewis.
Working within a small team of 2, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling the safe delivery of customer orders.Within Your Role, Your Duties Will Include:- Planning and coordinating customer orders from receipt to delivery, ensuring they arrive safely and on time.
- Using various customer and haulier portals to receive orders and generate delivery labels.
- Keeping customers up to date with lead times and delivery costs.
- Advising customers of any delays, issues, or stock shortages.
- Keeping on top of new orders coming in, ensuring they are given to the warehouse with all the relevant paperwork.
- Reviewing current stock levels to plan workloads with the warehouse team.
- General administration including keeping the ERP system up to date with progress and communication.
The Successful Applicant Will Possess:- Previous experience within a logistics planner / coordinator position.
- Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with customers, hauliers, and the warehouse to ensure deliveries are on time.
- Strong attention to detail to generate correct paperwork and delivery labels.
- Ability to navigate various systems as you will be using various portals and databases.
- Good Excel skills (VLOOKUPS / Pivot tables).
- Excellent prioritisation skills.
