Job Title: Logistics Operative

Location: Leicester

Hours: 37.5 Between 8am - 5pm Mon - Fri

Yü Smart is a Metering Equipment Manager within the Energy Sector delivering smart meter and EV charge-point installation services. We are looking for a Logistics Administrator to join our brand new, innovative business. This is a great opportunity to work for a small but forward-thinking business that has major growth plans, at an exciting time in its evolution. The position is office based with the opportunity to move to hybrid working once probation is passed.

Department: YUS - 1030 - Logistics & Fleet
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Compensation: £25,000 / year
Reporting To: Shan Williams

Responsibilities
Data Management
  • Monitor and maintain stock levels through accurate management of logistics reports and trackers using our internal stock system.
  • Accurately process and record all stock movement on internal stock system.
  • Review and authorise Field Operative orders, and ensure they have sufficient stock to complete assigned work.
  • Upload and maintain stock data on internal stock system.
  • Investigate exceptions to resolution.
Stock Management
  • Provide a point of contact for the Field Team.
  • Liaise with other departments within the business.
  • Book deliveries into our warehouse.
  • Maintain local warehouse stock and stock records; receipt, and put away deliveries.
  • Provide onboarding support through ordering and distribution of tooling, uniform, and PPE.
  • Support Fleet with vehicle checks and handovers, moving vehicles, and distributing/collecting vehicles from around the country when required.

  • A full UK driving licence with confident and competent driving skills (able to confidently drive Transit style vans).
