Job Description

You will be instrumental in delivering the supply chain strategy, becoming the face of ASOS to our 3PL providers, creating and identifying opportunities for operational improvements, driving sustainability initiatives, and leading and supporting a fantastic team of supply chain professionals. Working to deliver best in class operations, delivering cost savings via P&L and improving E2E customer experience. Our warehouse network includes 4 fulfilment centres and 5 returns centres, enabling us to provide next day delivery to most of our global customer base.

The details
  • Planning, managing, and optimising inventory control processes and logistic strategies to ensure efficient stock movement and availability.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on cost control and inventory accuracy by reviewing stock productivity, accuracy levels, and adherence to performance SLAs.
  • Preparing and presenting stock management project proposals, progress reports, and best practices to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinating and overseeing 3PL providers and supply chain partners to ensure alignment with inventory and stock control objectives managing stock movement across multiple sites both regionally and globally.
  • Monitoring and analysing stock metrics using internal and external reporting systems to drive actionable insights and improvements.
  • Identifying, supporting & delivering continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Developing and implementing best-in-class warehouse management processes to achieve measurable improvements in stock accuracy, efficiency, and key metrics.
  • Reporting and analysing inventory data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improving stock management strategies.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Supply Chain Development, Delivery Solutions, Logistics, Finance, and Technology teams.
  • Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.
Qualifications
About you
  • Proven operational management experience in leading stock control teams within warehouse environments, specifically in e-commerce and retail settings.
  • Demonstrated success in managing operational P&Ls with a focus on inventory control, identifying risks and opportunities, and building financial budgets tied to stock performance.
  • Extensive experience collaborating with 3PL providers & internal stakeholders to enhance stock accuracy, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve cost-saving initiatives.
  • Track record of identifying inefficiencies in inventory management processes using Lean tools, eliminating waste, and overseeing 3PL providers through change management initiatives.
  • Skilled in developing and delivering short-, medium-, and long-term stock control plans to support business growth and scalability.
  • Proven ability to present inventory data effectively, clearly articulating insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, adapting stock control strategies to meet ever-changing operational demands.
  • Experience collaborating with technology teams, utilising WMS systems, and working closely with warehouse teams to drive improvements in distribution centre stock management.
  • Experience managing the transportation of dangerous goods in compliance with ADR regulations, including proper classification, labeling, documentation, and safety protocols.

  • Self-starter who defines and leads, not follows, or stops at blockers, willing to push the boundaries.
  • Service-related focus with the ability to place yourself in the position of the customer to understand their concerns, constantly reviewing methods to improve the customer experience.
  • Analytical approach to problem solving and ability to critique documentation in a clear, logical, and concise way relevant to specific audience.
  • Proven ability within change management with a creative and innovative thought process.
