The Opportunity

Are you a Logistics Manager who thrives under pressure and enjoys the challenge of delivering complex urban projects? We are working with a Tier 1 main contractor on a GBP100m flagship residential development in Manchester city centre and they are looking for a Logistics Manager to take the lead on this logistically intense scheme.

With limited space, high footfall, and multiple work zones, this build will put your coordination and problem-solving skills to the test. Your input will be key to ensuring this major residential project runs smoothly from enabling works through to final fit-out. You will work with a great team of operational leads and subcontractors, ensuring everything from deliveries to waste management is timed to perfection.

Your Responsibilities

As Logistics Manager, you will be the central cog in a tight, fast-paced environment. Day-to-day you will:

1. Develop and manage the full logistics strategy for the site, from hoarding lines to delivery scheduling.
2. Coordinate all deliveries, materials handling, access routes, and crane/lifting operations.
3. Maintain clear communication with site teams to ensure timely and safe logistics operations.
4. Manage waste removal, traffic management, pedestrian safety, and environmental controls.
5. Liaise with local authorities, neighbours, and suppliers to maintain smooth site access.
6. Adapt the logistics plan as the build progresses through various phases.

You will be the person keeping everything moving literally.
