Logistics Manager

Time 4 Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a temporary Logistics Manager in Glasgow for a minimum of 12 months' work to join a well-established, award-winning national main contractor. Our client specializes in key construction projects such as Hotels and Student Accommodation, Residential Projects.

It is vital you have been a Logistics Manager on similar schemes previously!

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to start immediately in Glasgow for 12 months work which could continue for the very long term for the right candidate.

This role is for an immediate start. This will be a Mon to Fri 7.30am to 6pm role, and we require an experienced and well-vetted candidate that comes with good references.

Role Requirements

1. Min 3 years' experience in a logistics manager role with a similar skill set and responsibilities.
2. Liaise with all levels of site management to ensure stock levels are kept to standard.
3. Manage and supervise the movement and distribution of storage from the suppliers of specific sectors and labor site.
4. Monitor materials on site and levels in the warehouse to ensure availability to all levels of staff.
5. Always keep the site tidy.
6. Play an active role in weekly logistics meetings and organizing daily activities, looking ahead on-site.
7. Traffic Marshall - Allocate and manage traffic team in a busy city center area.
8. Good English, present the company well, work beside local residents, and ensure we are managing expectations and adhering to a council-approved construction environmental management plan.
9. Good level of Health and Safety awareness.
10. Good communication skills.
11. Computer literate, IT proficient, and an ability to utilize basic software used for logistics.
12. Must have an SSSTS or SMSTS for this role.

Benefits

1. Competitive hourly rate of £19 to £20 per hour (depending on experience).
2. Temporary Contract.

4. 12 months work minimum for the right candidate; could continue up to 2 years.
