Job description

Pertemps Swindon is currently looking for a Logistics Manager to support operations functions at our prestigious client based in Chippenham SN14.

This is a permanent position.

Working hours:

  • Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30
  • Friday 08:00-15:30

Salary: £40,000 per year with an 8% annual performance bonus.

Main duties:
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating import, export, compliance and freight movements.
  • Support supply chain and customer requirements in a timely manner.
  • Correct identification of hazardous goods and ensuring they are packed correctly.
  • Arranging shipment according to client expectations.
  • Working closely with internal departments to achieve business requirements and client satisfaction.
  • Maintaining freight-related invoices to ensure accurate cost allocation and Duty and VAT calculation.
  • Providing solutions and support to maintain a high level of Compliance and Health and Safety.
Right candidate:
  • Knowledge of customs clearance (minimum 2 years required).
  • Understanding of Inco Terms (minimum 2 years required).
  • Logistics background including booking shipments with freights (preferred).
  • Prior experience within the manufacturing or distribution sector that specializes in global export.
  • Experience in import and export administrative duties.
  • Flexible and adaptive approach.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
