Job Description

Logistics Lead

Location: Raynesway

Contract Type: Full Time

Join Rolls-Royce as a Logistics Lead and play a key role in leading day-to-day logistics operations across our site and satellite teams. This role will see you managing critical logistics services that support our ability to deliver for customers, while driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards across performance, safety, and compliance.

WHY ROLLS ROYCE

Rolls-Royce is one of the most enduring and iconic brands in the world and has been at the forefront of innovation for over a century. We design, build and service systems that provide critical power to customers where safety and reliability are paramount.

At Rolls-Royce, you’ll find a caring, inclusive culture that values your development and offers exceptional benefits. We’re proud to power, protect and connect people and the planet, and we’re looking for passionate professionals to help us do it better than ever.

WHAT WE OFFER

We offer excellent development opportunities, a competitive salary, and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance, and employee discounts.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people could balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement and is dependent on the security requirement of the role. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will lead logistics operations, ensuring effective service delivery and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the site logistics team, including development plans, 1:1s, and training packs
  • Acting as point of escalation for operational, facilities, and contractor control issues
  • Managing delivery, receipting, and documentation activities in line with SLAs
  • Delivering on performance metrics and supporting operational reviews
  • Driving improvement projects and identifying opportunities for efficiency

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a confident logistics leader who brings structure, coordination, and resilience. You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience leading logistics teams across multiple locations and complex operations
  • Strong delivery, problem-solving, and prioritisation skills under pressure
  • Knowledge of logistics systems and tools (e.g. SAP MRP, Excel, MIS)
  • Experience managing service delivery and compliance in a logistics environment

We are an equal opportunities employer. We’re committed to developing a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives. And the more perspectives we have, the more successful we’ll be. By building a culture of respect and appreciation, we give everyone who works here the opportunity to realise their full potential.

We welcome applications from people with a refugee background.

To work for Rolls-Royce, you need to hold or be eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance with UK Eyes Only caveats. We will support your application if needed. Due to the nature of the work, you must be a UK national.
