Job description

A great new opportunity has arisen to join a thriving fashion brand as a Logistics Manager. You will be responsible for ensuring the right products are delivered to the right locations on time, working closely with teams in the UK & USA.

This role will suit someone from a combination of import/exports and logistics background; someone who is knowledgeable on freight, duty rates by countries, HS codes alongside all the clearance documents required for customers and for the carrier companies.

Main responsibilities will include:

  1. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  2. Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with our Wholesale Team, our Stores, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers.
  3. Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance.
  4. Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.
  5. Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
  6. Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.
  7. Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records agree.
  8. Check all AWB are correct with weights, HS codes, declared values, etc.
  9. Work closely with the Wholesale team, Merchandising team, Accounts and 3PL's in UK and USA.
  10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process.
  11. Ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time.
  12. Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations.

Person specification:

  1. At least 3 years' experience in a similar role with good knowledge of HS codes and all documentation for compliance for all imports and exports.
  2. Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
  3. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
  4. Proven analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
