Job description

Vacancy:
We are looking to recruit a Logistics Driver, who will be based at Fishponds. The hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm with a salary of £12.50 per hour.

Purpose:
To facilitate the efficient receipt, inspection, storage and delivery of vehicles and goods including diligent handling of associated paperwork.

Key accountabilities:

  1. To maintain a safe level of operation in all duties including the observation of speed limits on and off site.
  2. Check in goods and vehicles carefully recording and notifying any shortages or damage to relevant dept.
  3. Storage of vehicles, paperwork and keys and goods safely and correctly.
  4. To be able to operate all logistics IT and computing requirements.
  5. Ability to work well with team to enable varied duties to be covered within logistic and stores areas.
  6. Aptitude to work on own initiative maintaining high level of orderliness in storage areas.
  7. Maintenance of excellent relations with customers and their staff.
  8. Maintenance of respectable appearance appropriate to sales environment.
  9. Ability to route plan efficiently and understand transportation issues and limitations.
  10. Competent decision making.
  11. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

Duties include:

  1. Delivery and collection of vehicles locally and nationally. Vehicles are all within standard driving license requirements to drive.
  2. Preparation of vehicles prior to delivery.
  3. Completion of company vehicle checks as instructed.
  4. From time-to-time work in other departments to assist with workload.

Training period:
The first 4 weeks of employment will be allocated to training.
