This client based in Aberdeen is a world leader in their solutions field within the Oil & Gas sector. They are looking for a full-time Logistics Coordinator to join the business for a 9-12 month period to support with warehouse and logistic duties.
The Role
The purpose of the role is to support the business with all aspects of shipping and logistics in compliance with company supply chain procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate, timely, and cost-effective shipping of all equipment whilst adhering to standard operating procedures, applicable laws, and the company’s global QHSE Management systems.
Responsibilities
Create delivery tickets/proforma invoices (including customs status, value, tariff codes for each item for equipment going out on offshore jobs).
Providing CST to the client’s logistics team, 48 hours before offshore job loadout.
Prepare commercial invoice and packing list for freight going outside of the UK.
Request quotes and arrange transport through our Freight Forwards.
Provide clearance instructions for Imports/Exports into the UK.
Chasing up for import and export paperwork from the Freight Forwards.
Ensuring all equipment movements are in accordance with the load out list/manifest for jobs.
Packing/Labelling of dangerous goods.
Upkeep of Asset Management with respect to movements in and out of the base.
Arrange for inspection and certification checks of CCU & other equipment hired by the business.
Loading/unloading shipments from delivery vans.
Packing/unpacking shipments, which will involve strapping and wrapping.
Assist with general office duties – filing, scanning, and archiving etc.
General tidying of the workshop and logistic area.
Working in Logistics you may be required to work long and unpredictable hours during periods of high activity. Overtime will be paid for time outside normal working hours. You will also be part of an on-call rota.
Experience
Should have experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
Must be physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties.
Must be able to work as part of a team and work on own initiative.
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of following policies and procedures.
Should be able to prioritize workloads.
Good communication skills.
Adaptable attitude to work and change to meet service needs – able and willing to adopt new tasks and methods of working as required.
Customer-friendly approach.

Some customs knowledge required.
Dangerous Goods by sea – if not training will be provided.
Forklift license – but not essential.
Be proficient in Excel and Word and computer literate.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Navision software would be advantageous.
