A new role has arisen for a Logistics Co-ordinator to join an established and growing construction company based in Cambridge.
You will be working in a friendly and busy environment in a varied role where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and career in the future as the company grows.
You will be responsible for coordinating the logistics operations, ensuring that goods are transported efficiently and on time. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the flow of materials and products, liaising with suppliers, transport companies, and internal teams to optimise our supply chain processes.
This is a busy and varied role that would suit a candidate with experience in logistics or stock/bookings movements. You will be a confident communicator and offer good customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the logistics operations from order placement to delivery.
- Liaise with suppliers and transport providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Prepare shipping documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipments, inventory levels, and supplier communications.
What the employer is looking for:
- Proven experience in a logistics role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- A keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities to address logistical challenges effectively.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices is advantageous.
- A degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
