We are currently looking for an experienced Logistic Coordinator to come in and assist our existing team for a 6-month fixed term contract based at our HQ in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.
Candidate must have strong Logistics & Exports experience, with good level of working knowledge and understanding of exports and logistics processes.
Main purpose of the role:
To provide logistical and administration support to the business. To receive internal requests for end-to-end shipment preparation and delivery of ICR products to domestic and international locations. Process logistics required and oversee the cycle of order fulfilment. Responsible for making sure stipulated supplies, stock, materials, packages, and /or products are processed to customer final destination efficiently and safely.
- Facilitate the shipping of products and equipment from one destination to another.
- Arrange transportation and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little to no delay.
- Optimise transportation where possible.
- Receives products and coordinates delivery.
- Work with the team to prepares loads for shipment.
- Address any QC issues with appropriate functions.
- Liaise with Business Units to ensure successful completion of transport & shipping requirements with progress reporting.
- Manages activities throughout the logistics order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
- Continually reviews freight total costs, transportation rates, to optimise consolidated shipments to provide cost efficiencies.
- Streamlines shipping and transportation processes through continue improvement cycle.
Key responsibilities:
- To arrange / ensure that all paperwork is in place for the shipment of products and equipment.
- To arrange for all transportation in a planned and timely manner to meet transportation deadlines.
- To ensure that the most economical costs are obtained for transportation to meet planned delivery date.

The role will have strong links to all business areas of the Group, including Operations.

- Timely flow of information between departments and clients.
- All administration in respect to stock is fully managed and understood and controlled, in compliance with ICR processes and procedures.
- Smooth and professional logistical support provided to the business to ensure order fulfilment.
- Stocks, supplies and materials in place and processed to reach customer final destinations efficiently and safely.
Mandatory Training Requirements:
- Experience and understanding of logistics and stores function within the Oil and Gas sector.
- Awareness of the requirements of COSHH, SEPA and other regulatory/environmental procedures/processes associated with logistics function.
- Awareness of Dangerous Goods by Road/Sea/Air.
- Proficient in the use of IT equipment, Microsoft applications, SAP.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of HSEQ safe working practices and procedures and their implementation.
- Ability to work deadlines in an accurate, consistent and structured manner.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to other team members.
- Ability to follow/comply with procedures and recognised working practices.
