Job description

Our client is looking for an additional member of staff to join their growing team in a specialist division of their UK logistics operation. As such, this will be a hands-on and varied role where you will be involved in customer liaison as well as route planning of their vehicles around the UK.

Key responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming enquiries from customers and processing their requests
  • Planning routes for the drivers and ensuring optimal and cost-effective solutions
  • Maintaining accurate information on the computerized database
  • Liaising with the drivers to arrange for servicing and repair of vehicles
  • Recording detailed costs incurred and producing profit and loss reports

The candidate:

  • Logistics experience essential and a knowledge of planning routes in the UK
  • Strong IT skills including exposure to specific transport systems
  • Confident communication skills to liaise with a wide range of clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment using problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail
