Transport Co-Ordinator

Location: Newport

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, based on experience.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 07:30am - 4pm
Friday: 07:30am - 3pm

Acorn by Synergie is working with a client within the manufacturing industry that is seeking a self-motivated and driven individual to join their existing Logistics team as a Transport Co-Ordinator.

Responsibilities:

1. Route planning and co-ordinating with providers to ensure delivery schedules align, both within the UK and Internationally.
2. Liaising with internal departments to ensure an outstanding level of service regarding delivery timescales.
3. Responding to customer enquiries.
4. Working alongside warehouse teams to ensure smooth and efficient movement of goods and understanding production levels to optimize loads for efficiency.
5. Ensuring the business receives the best value and service for freight management.
6. Ensuring all drivers have the relevant and accurate paperwork.
7. Working to pre-set KPIs.
8. Providing support to all departments relating to the dispatch of goods.

Key Requirements:

1. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
2. Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft packages and general computer skills.
4. Problem-solving skills.
