We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, conscientious, self-motivated individual to join our logistics team within the Supplies Department.
Our Logistics Assistants provide a support service to the Trust which includes the movement of patients either on beds, wheelchairs or special trolleys, between departments, and also movement of hospital equipment. The role also provides receipt and distribution activities within Supplies.

To provide a Logistics service to meet the needs of the wards and departments and to ensure that materials, equipment and waste are safely and appropriately receipted and distributed around the Hospital.
The postholder will be required to hold a valid current driving licence for the operation of the waste truck when removing waste, and driving the delivery van.
The Logistics Assistants provide an efficient and reliable collection, sorting and delivery service of letters, parcels and medical records within the organisation and processing items going outside the trust for collection by Royal Mail and District Transport Services.
The role also requires electronic data capture when undertaking stock-takes, to ensure correct and agreed stock levels are maintained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
