Job description

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00

MAR Vehicle Solutions Ltd is part of the fast-growing VMS Automotive Group offering a range of services comprising of Contract Hire & Fleet Management, Accident Management, as well as Maintenance Services from our in-house workshops. We are a leading provider of transport refrigeration systems, air conditioning solutions, and converting panel vans into commercial, refrigerated vehicles. VMS Automotive operates nationwide with workshops and vehicle hire sites throughout the UK, with our Head Office based in Stevenage and our Operations Centre based in Bury St Edmunds.

As a result of our continued growth, we are looking for additional team members to join our team to help us continue providing outstanding service to our customers.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Administrator. You will be responsible for scheduling work for our mobile technicians covering the UK and seeing the job through from start to finish, ordering parts, and preparing jobs for invoice.

The Role:
A Logistics Administrator is required for mobile repair and recovery services. Carrying out the administration & logistic functions for all types of work, primarily on LCV vehicles, the mobile technician provides general maintenance, servicing, and brakes as well as roadside breakdown. The role will include, but is not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with allocated Technicians to organise and gain updates on their day
  • Planning the most efficient route for the technicians
  • Communicating with customers and reporting on VORs and updates
  • Creating Estimates & Raising Job Cards
  • Preparing invoices
  • Ordering and organisation of parts
  • Ensuring daily objectives are carried out

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Service/Logistic environment in the automotive industry
  • Adaptable
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Technical knowledge would be advantageous

Training:

Training will be provided on all systems and processes.
