Logistic Officers/Purchasing Officers/Procurement Officers

Description

We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Logistics / Purchasing / Procurement Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for sourcing fresh, high-quality produce and supplies to keep our commercial kitchen and outlets running smoothly. You’ll work closely with local suppliers, manage stock, negotiate favorable terms, and help drive cost-saving initiatives across our food businesses.

You will play a key role in supporting:

  1. Vintage Tea Emporium
  2. Vintage Curry Emporium
  3. Vintage Takeaway Emporium Food Trucks
  4. Vintage Bakery and Outlet

For you to be suitable for this job:
You must be willing to relocate to Staffordshire.

Responsibilities

  1. Source and purchase fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, and poultry from trusted local suppliers.
  2. Maintain adequate stock levels to meet daily operational demands across all outlets.
  3. Identify, select, and negotiate with suppliers for the best prices and quality.
  4. Build strong relationships with local farmers and food producers.
  5. Manage the entire order process: placing orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely arrivals.
  6. Approach potential corporate clients for catering and food supply contracts.
  7. Ensure full compliance with company policies, particularly sourcing exclusively from local fresh food suppliers.
  8. Work with the business development and social media team to strengthen supplier relationships.
  9. Implement cost-saving measures for procurement and operational overheads.
  10. Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate purchasing records.

Qualifications

  1. Degree or diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics Management.
  2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Solid analytical skills to track data and make smart purchasing decisions.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
  5. Experience in food procurement or a related field is an advantage.
  6. Proactive attitude and willingness to relocate to Staffordshire.
