Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care, including medication administration, patient counselling, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes. This position is essential in promoting health and well-being within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct thorough medication reviews to identify any potential issues or concerns regarding patient safety.
  • Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to best practices in medication administration.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to medication therapy management.
  • Educate patients on health management strategies, including lifestyle modifications and disease prevention.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmacology, therapeutics, and relevant clinical guidelines.

Skills

  • Proficient in medication administration techniques and protocols.
  • Strong focus on patient care with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients.
  • In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology as it relates to pharmacotherapy.
  • Experience or knowledge of working in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.

Pay: From £25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 – 37.5 per week
