Are you a Band 8a GP Lead Practice Pharmacist looking for a rewarding locum role in Essex? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

Job Title: GP Lead Practice Pharmacist (Band 8a)

Location: Essex

Duration: Ongoing

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (30-minute break)

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: Ongoing

Rate of Pay: £32-£42 per hour (LTD or Umbrella)

What You'll Be Doing:
Join our client's team as a GP Lead Practice Pharmacist and take the lead on managing long-term conditions in a primary care setting. In this role, you will:

1. Run clinical review clinics focused on asthma, COPD, hypertension, and mental health
2. Prescribe independently and optimise patient outcomes through personalised medication reviews
3. Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and other primary care professionals
4. Deliver high-quality care aligned with national guidelines
5. Keep accurate clinical documentation and support QOF-related activity

Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A current GPhC registration as a pharmacist
2. Independent Prescriber status
3. Experience working in a primary care pharmacy setting
4. Confidence running clinics and managing long-term conditions
5. Completion of or enrolment on the CPPE Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway (ideal)
6. Strong clinical judgement and communication skills

Working Hours & Contract Duration:
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, offering ongoing locum work with the possibility of remote elements. Flexibility and long-term potential for the right candidate.
