We are seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals to our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) team as a 10 programmed activity (PA) Locum Consultant. The OMFS team forms part of the Dental Networked Services at Barts Health. This is an ideal career opportunity for anyone who is looking for a challenging opportunity to develop their existing skills, and to provide a first-class service to patients. The role is very busy and will include outpatient management, local and general anaesthetic treatment lists, management of theatre cases (including relevant ward, discharge and post-operative management), supporting service colleagues with management of 18-week RTT and urgent suspected cancer pathways, managing clinical governance processes as required within the OMFS department, delivery of service improvements and planning with operational and nursing colleagues and working closely with senior colleagues and clinicians to deliver exemplary care for our patients. The role will join the consultant on-call rota 1 in 8.
We are looking for an individual with an interest and experience in skin surgery and urgent suspected OMFS cancer pathways. The role will be based across the Royal London Dental Hospital and Whipps Cross Hospital.
