Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated locum Consultant in Interventional Radiology to join their NHS trust in South West England. This full-time role offers the opportunity to cover a maternity gap for 6-12 months, with core hours from Monday to Friday. You'll engage in a variety of procedures including vascular and non-vascular interventions, while also managing emergencies. If you have a GMC license and NHS experience in this specialty, this position provides a chance to make a significant impact in patient care while working in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • GMC license to practice and full right to work required.
  • Minimum 12 months NHS experience in Interventional Radiology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform biopsies, drainages, and urology work including nephrostomies.
  • Manage emergency and on-call work, including sepsis and hemorrhage.

Job description

National Locums are working on behalf of an NHS trust based in South West England looking for a locum Consultant in Interventional Radiology.

The Radiology department based in an NHS trust in South West England is looking for a locum Consultant in Interventional Radiology to cover a maternity gap in service. This is to start as soon as possible for a 6-12 month period.

This is a full-time position. Core working hours will be Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00 with on-calls. The role will include Vascular and Non-Vascular intervention. The proposed job plan is below:

  • Biopsies
  • Drainages
  • Urology work – Nephrostomies, ureteric stents
  • PTC’s
  • Peripheral and aortic vascular interventions
  • Emergency and on-call work which will include the management of sepsis and haemorrhage. Above listed procedures plus embolizations.

You must hold the following in order to be considered:

  • GMC license to practise.
  • Full right to work.
  • Minimum 12 months NHS experience in Interventional Radiology.
