Are you a Band 7 Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding locum role in North London? We have an exciting opportunity within an Acute Medicine setting offering excellent pay and flexible working options!

Job Details:

1. Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Band 7) - Acute Medicine
2. Location: North London
3. Duration: 3-month contract (with potential for extension)
4. Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time (part-time considered)
5. Start Date: ASAP
6. End Date: Rolling contract
7. Rate of Pay: £28-£30 per hour (DOE)

What You'll Be Doing:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to step into a senior role within a dynamic Acute Medicine team. The successful candidate will:

1. Provide specialist assessment and intervention for patients with acute medical conditions
2. Manage a varied caseload, supporting timely and effective discharge planning
3. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure a holistic approach to patient care
4. Implement rehabilitation programmes and functional assessments to support patient independence
5. Supervise and mentor junior staff and contribute to service development initiatives

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

1. Current and valid HCPC registration
2. Experience working within acute hospital settings, ideally in acute/general medicine
3. Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and organisational skills
4. The ability to work autonomously and within a fast-paced MDT environment
5. A strong focus on safe discharge planning and patient-centered care

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

The role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday, but part-time applications are welcome. The contract is initially for 3 months, with high potential for extension based on service demand and performance.
