Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control in laboratory practices
Ability to interpret and report laboratory findings accurately and efficiently
Experience in using laboratory information systems and relevant software
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with colleagues and healthcare professionals
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and laboratory practices
Key Responsibilities:
Perform various hematological tests including full blood counts, coagulation studies, and blood film examinations.
Analyze and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
Participate in quality control procedures and contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective communication of laboratory findings.
Provide training and support to junior staff and participate in continuing professional development activities.
