JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist looking for a rewarding locum role in Nottinghamshire? We have an exciting opportunity offering excellent pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist
Location: Nottinghamshire
Duration: Ongoing contract
Schedule: Full-time (part-time considered)
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £25-£26 per hour (dependent on experience)

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting comprehensive MSK assessments to diagnose and formulate effective treatment plans.
  2. Implementing evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, soft tissue techniques, electrotherapy, and pain management strategies.
  3. Managing a diverse caseload including acute injuries, chronic pain conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, and sports-related injuries.
  4. Educating and advising patients on injury prevention, posture correction, and long-term self-management strategies.
  5. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (GPs, consultants, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals) to ensure holistic patient care.
  6. Maintaining accurate patient records and contributing to clinical audits and service improvement initiatives.
  7. Providing clinical support and mentorship to junior staff and students where applicable.

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

  1. HCPC registration and CSP membership.
  2. Previous experience working as an MSK physiotherapist in an NHS, private, or community setting.
  3. Strong clinical reasoning skills to assess and manage complex MSK conditions.
  4. A proactive and patient-focused approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Knowledge of NICE guidelines, MSK pathways, and evidence-based practice.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role is full-time but open to part-time applicants. The contract is ongoing, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
