Job description

Our client is seeking a Local Land Charges Information Manager to oversee and enhance their Local Land Charges Service. This pivotal role will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with statutory obligations while maximising service delivery and efficiency.

Public Sector - Local Authority
Full Time - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
Temporary Role - 3 months with likely extension
£23.85 per hour PAYE / £31.03 per hour Umbrella

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the Local Land Charges Service in accordance with the Local Land Charges Act 1975 and other relevant legislation.
  2. Lead a team of Local Land Charges Officers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service.
  3. Implement IT solutions to facilitate online and self-service options for clients, solicitors, and agencies.
  4. Ensure compliance with HM Land Registry standards and manage data transfer requirements.
  5. Develop and monitor service improvement initiatives to achieve optimal performance across boroughs.
  6. Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery and maintain effective communication.
  7. Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring effective expenditure and income recovery in line with regulations.
  8. Promote the Local Land Charges Service and identify opportunities for income generation through innovative marketing strategies.
Person Specification:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of Local Land Charges services and relevant legislation.
  2. Proven experience in local government finance, with a focus on income and expenditure management.
