Martis Search are representing a West End based, but global Financial Services company to hire a “Loans Administration Supervisor” to join their Investment Operations team. The role is a permanent position and reports into a senior Operations Manager. This is a “hands-on” role to supervise and manage a team of 4 Loans Operations Analysts.

The person will be responsible for the actual day-to-day Loans Operations role, overseeing the responsibilities of other Loans Operations staff, and ensuring the smooth management of the company’s Loans department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established, but growing West End based Institutional Asset Manager. Our client is looking for a “hands-on” Loans Administration Manager/ Supervisor/ Team Leader, ideally from either Investment Banking, Asset Management, or Custody background.

The role will involve various Loans Operations projects and streamlining of current Operations processes. You will be required to propose new ideas and collaborate effectively to implement change. The department is relatively new, providing ample scope for improvement.

There is significant deadline and time pressure on each project, so you need to work quickly and efficiently to complete all requested projects accurately and on time.

About the role

• Team leader for Loan Administration
• Manage priorities and workloads for team members, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and to a high quality
• Work with third-party loan administrators in setting rates, interest dates, interest payments, and accruals
• Collaborate with the company’s legal and investment teams on all operational aspects of debt documentation
• Manage the investment closing process for all debt investments
• Monitor receipt of covenant reporting information
• Provide reporting on the company’s debt portfolio
• Advise the wider company on the debt portfolio
• Identify and implement improvements to existing processes, ensuring thorough process documentation

About you

• Experience as a team leader within a loan administration function at a financial institution
• In-depth technical knowledge of debt products
• Expertise in loan administration processes and loan agreements
• Understanding of loan administration systems, ideally eFront and Debt Domain
• Ability to multi-task and balance team activities while meeting deadlines
• Proactive consultation with stakeholders to find solutions
• Ability to develop and implement process improvements
• Expertise in Excel for data analysis and presentation
• Experience with emerging markets, particularly India, is advantageous
• Motivated by the company’s development mission, with a commitment to social goals through previous activities.

Salary

£85,000 - £93,600 dependent upon experience, plus excellent holiday allowance, pension, Healthcare, and Life Assurance.
