New Opportunity: Loading Operative

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a skilled Forklift Driver to join their team. Our client is based in Holmewood and is a global leader in design and construction materials. The ideal candidate should be hardworking and have previous experience with a Forklift. To be successful, candidates will need an in-date Counterbalance License. Unfortunately, we cannot accept in-house licenses; they must be externally accredited.

As the new Loading Operative, you will:

• Adhere to company standards and Health & Safety regulations.
• Communicate shortages or issues with the Despatch Office or shift leader.
• Follow instructions and collaborate with haulier drivers for loading.
• Accurately record and update all required data.
• Ensure correct products are loaded, wrapped, and labelled to high standards.
• Unload and process incoming deliveries, including pallets and consumables.
• Operate forklifts and shunter vehicles to support loading and production.
• Handle returns efficiently and assist with stock-taking.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper waste disposal in all areas.
• Stay up to date with product knowledge and required training.
• Be flexible with working hours and undertake additional tasks as needed.

Requirements for this position:

• Must have previous experience as a Counterbalance/Forklift driver in a similar role.
• Forklift Licence (Counterbalance) must be in date and accredited externally (not in-house).
• Must be able to reliably commute to work.

About this role:

• This role is based Monday-Friday.
• It is a rotating shift pattern, alternating week to week.
• Hours for this role are:
  • Week 1: 6am - 2pm
  • Week 2: 2pm - 10pm
• GBP12.52 per hour, plus a 6.66% shift premium.
• 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
• Pension with a 5% employee contribution and employer matching.
