Job Description

About this placement:

This role is providing care for a lady who was generally fit and well until she suffered a massive stroke in August 2022. This has left her with emotional challenges, poor time perception, and weakness down her left side. This lady now walks with a frame or stick and has experienced several falls since her stroke.

She has stroke-related epilepsy, but this is well managed. This lady currently resides in a care home but longs to get back home to a newly refurbished annex in Hotham. This lady was dedicated to her work throughout her life. In her younger years, she enjoyed playing squash and has a strong appreciation for art and sculpture. She also loved to travel, whether for work or leisure, exploring new cultures and wildlife.

This lady values respect and wants her care professional to engage with her as an individual. It’s important that her Care Professionals listen to her preferences and support her in achieving her personal goals.

You will support this lady by providing:

  • Companionship: everything from a chat over a cup of tea to doing crossword puzzles
  • Accompaniment: to appointments or a spot of shopping
  • Meal preparation: a sandwich, or a home-cooked meal
  • Light housekeeping: a run around with the hoover or a spot of dusting
  • Personal Care: because it's important to us all

What we will do for you:

  • Free DBS check
  • Paid Training
  • Wellbeing Support
  • Early pay scheme
  • Access to Blue Light discounts
  • No uniform
  • Care certificate
  • City and Guild dementia course
  • Contracts available
  • Career progression opportunities
  • Rewards and Recognition for being a valued member of our care team
  • Support Network of fellow Carers
  • £100 Employee referral scheme
Qualifications

If you are compassionate, empathetic, and want to provide high-quality care that really makes a difference, we would love to hear from you!
