Job description

Weekly Pay: £840.00 - £1008.00

Location: Weymouth, Dorset

Shift: 2 weeks on shift then 2 weeks off

Sonderwell is recruiting for experienced Live-In Carers to provide person focused care to our clients with Complex needs within their own homes.

You will be living with your client within their own home for 2 weeks at a time. You will be required to stay in the property with your client at all times, apart from when you take your allocated break per day.

We are currently offering:

What we require from candidates:

  1. Flexibility and Reliability
  2. Passionate about the care of vulnerable people with various health issues
  3. Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative
  4. Able to work under pressure and in stressful and challenging situations
  5. To support our client you must be able to drive a manual car
  6. Passport due to location

Client conditions:

  • Learning disabilities
  • Autism
  • Pbs
  • Seizure Management
  • Oxygen Therapy

Small dog in the home at times & must have a full Driving licence.

Supporting you:

Being a Sonderwell carer isn’t just about caring. It’s about being good with people, too – being able to gain the trust of clients and their families. That’s why, if you have a caring personality and some relevant experience, we’ll give you access to online and classroom training in specific complex care needs, as well as the chance to study for a relevant NVQ.

Depending on the client, you may be working on your own or as part of a team. If you wish and have the availability, you could provide support to more than one client.

Before you start, you’ll have the chance to meet your client and their family. And when you do, you’ll have day-to-day support with a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager always on hand to answer your questions. You’ll also be able to access our ‘Carer App’ which is a fantastic source of insight and information. In short, we’ll give you all you need to get the most out of this rewarding and fulfilling role.
