Are you an experienced Litigation Paralegal seeking a new opportunity? Our client, a dynamic debt collection business based in Hertford, is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join their team. This Litigation Paralegal role offers a competitive salary of up to £40k, with office-based hours from Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities of a Litigation Paralegal

As a Litigation Paralegal, you will manage your own caseload while providing vital support to senior case handlers. Your duties will include:

1. Handling defended service charge, ground rent, and possession matters related to residential property.
2. Reviewing claims, assessing defences and counterclaims, and advising clients and agents.
3. Addressing breach of covenant matters and progressing cases as instructed.
4. Complying with court and tribunal deadlines.
5. Offering timely general landlord and tenant advice to clients.
6. Ensuring effective case management, including updating databases and diarising key dates.
7. Maintaining regular communication and reporting to clients and agents.
8. Providing internal advice as required.
9. Performing other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Skills and Qualifications Required for a Litigation Paralegal

To excel in this role, you will need:

1. Proven experience in civil litigation and property litigation.
2. Strong legal drafting skills and the ability to manage caseloads independently.
3. A high level of organisation and attention to detail.
4. A law degree or equivalent qualification.
5. Specific expertise in defending service charges or ground rent cases.
