Linux Platform Engineer

Job Description:

Candidate should be hands-on with existing virtual desktop tooling to provision workspace and some supporting server functions for the Croydon and Birmingham locations. Can cope with an evolving environment where requirements are liable to change.

Required Skill Set:

Skills:

• 10+ Years of experience
• Hands-on experience in Linux Operating System, Shell Scripting, AWS Cloud Infrastructure & Docker Framework
• AWS: 5+ years' experience with using a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g., EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security.
• Expertise in provisioning infrastructure using Terraform, VMs with tools such as Vagrant
• DevOps: Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer in a 24x7 uptime Amazon AWS environment, including automation experience with configuration management tools.
• Scripting Skills: Strong scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl, JAVA) and automation skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Jenkins and pipeline using Groovy script
• Hands-on experience with Operating Systems: Windows and Linux system administration.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios).
