Job description

Job Title: Linen Porter

Location: Colney Ln, Norwich NR4 7UY

Remuneration: £12.21 paid weekly

Contract Details: Temporary, 3 months possibility of extension or to go perm

Working Pattern: Full time - 4 on 4 off, Weekdays 07:00 to 18:30, Weekends 07:00 to 17:30

Background Checking: Basic DBS required

Responsibilities:

As a Linen Porter, you'll be at the heart of our hospital operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Manoeuvring loads in tight spaces
  2. Pushing bins, cages, wheeled trolleys, and managing linen deliveries
  3. Lifting bags following manual handling training protocols
  4. Maintaining awareness while handling various hazardous materials
  5. Working within the hospital building and grounds, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency
  6. Assisting in the loading bay and adapting to adverse weather conditions
  7. Managing exposure to soiled linen while providing essential support to our healthcare team
Ideal Candidate:

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has:

  1. A Basic DBS check (essential)
  2. A proactive approach to safety and awareness of hazardous materials
  3. Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Working Conditions:

This role involves working within the hospital environment, including exposure to adverse weather conditions in the loading bay. Please note that there is no onsite parking available unless you're using a motorbike or bicycle. However, paid parking with park and ride options are available for your convenience.
