Job description

We are currently seeking to recruit a Linen Porter at Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort (Day time hours).

This is a fantastic opportunity for driven candidates to be a part of a busy yet fun working environment with a good work-life balance.

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience working as a Hotel Linen Porter is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Flexible to work both mid-week and weekend shifts (Day Shifts Only in this role).
  • Friendly professional individual with excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A good level of spoken English is required.
  • Be standards driven and detail-oriented.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all linen is checked and complies with order and delivery documentation.
  • To ensure that linen received, issued, and returned is recorded in line with department procedures.
  • Ensure that all linen is handled safely, and lifting is done following the manual handling training provided.
  • Ensure all receiving areas and fire exits are kept clean, tidy, and free from rubbish or obstructions and are secure.
  • Ensure all linen pantries and bedroom corridors are clear from linen bags and rubbish at all times.
  • Linen and bed coverings are transported correctly to the correct areas.
  • Ensure that all soiled linen is handled and stored correctly.
  • All reject linen is dealt with in line with the department's procedures.
  • To assist in the removal of beds and furniture to and from guest bedrooms.
  • Deals with all guest requests in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all checklists are completed.
  • Follows Resort procedure for the acceptance, security, and return of guest lost property.
  • Adheres to Resort policy for key control and security.
