Line Chef / Cook

The Crown Emsworth have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate, driven, and hard working Line Chef / Cook to join our dynamic team to deliver excellent hand-made, seasonal, and contemporary food. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive hourly rate above National Minimum Wage, and share of all tips and service charge.

The Crown Emsworth is an old Coaching Inn dating back to the sixteenth century and has been recently re-furnished, creating a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere just a short walk from the harbour. We are truly establishing ourselves as one of the best eateries and hospitality experiences in the area, and we are now looking for someone who has the love and passion to grow this business even further as much as we do.

The Line Chef / Cook role:

As an integral part of our Chef Team at The Crown, you will be responsible for creating dishes from our menus, in our busy, fast-paced kitchen.

As our Line Chef / Cook, you will handle fresh food and ingredients with confidence and will provide support to the Chef leading the kitchen, and also working alone at times. Working as part of the team, you will assist through the preparation of salads, side dishes, and other elements on the main cook line from the various menus.

With an eye for detail, you will take pride in your work, completing orders at a fast pace to a set standard.

Our ideal Line Chef / Cook should have the following skills and experience:

1. You will be a team player, showing dedication and a passion for the job.
2. Working alongside the kitchen team and with the wider front of house team, you will be confident when communicating with all members of The Crown team.
3. You will have experience working in hospitality, ideally in a pub/restaurant or food serving venue.
