Conrad Consulting have partnered with our Clients, an award-winning Architectural Lighting Design company, as they look to recruit a Lighting Designer to join their expanding team based in Hammersmith.


Founded over 20 years ago, my Clients have since grown to be one of the World's Top Lighting Design Studios with UK & international projects in over 20 countries. Focusing on incorporating transformative lighting design into interiors, architecture & landscapes, with projects largely in the high-end hospitality and retail sectors, they work to enhance the beauty of spaces by creating lighting designs, shadows & luminosity.


If you are a Lighting Designer with up to 4 years of post-experience within the high-end hospitality and residential sector, a demonstrable portfolio showcasing your creative flair with lighting design in different sectors, or if you have an Architectural & Interior Design background looking to move into an abstract and specialist career within Lighting Design, this could be the opportunity for you!


Minimum Requirements:

  1. Architectural or Interior Design UK Qualification
  2. Minimum 2+ Years Demonstrable Post Qualification UK Experience
  3. Experience within Hospitality and Residential Design Sectors
  4. Proficiency with AutoCAD, DiaLux, and Adobe Creative Software
  5. Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and contractors
  6. Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  7. Passionate about spatial design and architecture

Duties for the Role:

  1. Technical Drawing: Can interpret and draft plans, elevations, and detail drawings to correct architectural scales with professional dimensioning and notation.
  2. Layouts: Can quickly draw and edit layouts using assistive tools such as arrays. Precise alignment of objects and blocks, with a good eye for detail and understanding scale and readability.
  3. Layer Control: Freezing in model space and viewports, creating and editing layers, printable/not printable layers. Good organization of layers using folders and intuitive naming systems.
  4. Blocks: Creating and editing blocks. Making annotative tags within blocks that can move freely. Understanding and using layers within and outside of blocks effectively.
  5. Templates: Creating importable templates and layouts.
  6. Annotative Objects: Scaling objects in model space and viewports to standard architectural scales. Scalable text, dimensions, and leaders.
  7. Sheet Sets: Creating fields within text, linking fields to sheet set information. Creating and editing custom sheet set fields that automatically update across drawings.
  8. Tables: Creating and editing tables. Importing blocks into tables.
  9. Styles: Editing and creating Leader, Text, and Dimensioning Styles.
